Abstract in English

The world affected by climate change is a harbinger of new challenges. One of these certainly includes the management of thousands of people forced to flee their usual residences because they became no longer liveable. This is especially true in Asia, where climate change is hitting more violently and suddenly than in other areas of the world. Central Asia, with its desertification, and the region between Afghanistan and Pakistan are rapidly changing, and the future is worsening. In most cases, these people decide to move but to stay within national borders, becoming IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons). The lack of management of primary needs and their reintroduction into the social composition might transform refugee camps into recruitment camps for locally present terrorist groups or for local groups linked to transnational terrorism. The trinomial climate change, consequences on the population and terrorism are destined, if the international community does not stop this trend, to be present on the global agendas in the years to come.
