Introduction

In an era defined by rapid geopolitical shifts and the digital evolution of extremism, the ability to decode threat landscapes is no longer just an asset—it is a necessity for security professionals, researchers, and policy-makers.

SpecialEurasia is proud to announce our upcoming intensive online course in Terrorism Analysis, designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and actionable intelligence. Join us on Saturday, March 14, 2026, for a comprehensive deep-dive into the mechanics of modern radicalisation and insurgent strategy.

Course Curriculum

The curriculum we have designed offers a comprehensive and all-encompassing perspective on the current landscape of threats that are facing us.

  • Module 1: Defining the Phenomenon. Establish a rigorous conceptual framework. We deconstruct the definitions of terrorism, the theological nuances of Jihad, and the anatomy of violent attacks.
  • Module 2: Ideological Foundations. An exploration of the “Why.” Delve into the extremist ideologies driving global unrest, including Salafi-Jihadism, Wahhabism, and various influential theological currents.
  • Module 3: Deciphering Jihadist Propaganda. Go beyond the surface of digital content. Learn to interpret symbols, coded languages, and the sophisticated narratives used to radicalise and recruit across social media and video platforms.
  • Module 4: Global Actor Mapping. A strategic review of primary terrorist organisations. This module covers group affiliations, internal schisms, and current tactical areas of operation.
  • Module 5: OSINT for Counter-Terrorism. The “How” of modern monitoring. Master the exploitation of publicly available information, Dark Web investigation techniques, and the OSINT tools required to track propaganda dissemination in real-time.

Leading the course is Dr. Giuliano Bifolchi, the SpecialEurasia OSINT Unit Director as well as the Research Manager. He possesses a doctoral degree in Islamic Studies and has authored a variety of academic papers, critically examining the phenomena of terrorism and security concerns that have arisen in the post-Soviet territories. Furthermore, he is a professor of OSINT and Webint at the European Forensic Institute of Malta.

Why Enrol?

This educational initiative is designed to offer a comprehensive learning experience that surpasses the scope of conventional academic lectures. Upon completion of this program, individuals will possess the refined skills necessary to critically evaluate the trustworthiness of potential threats and acquire the essential tools that enable them to actively observe and track developing trends.
